Volunteering with Mustangs Football
Parental involvement is an essential part of any successful high school football program. The Mustang Booster Club works to lighten the load on the coaching staff and school administration as much as we can.
Please consider volunteering your time and talents to support Mustang football and the Redmond community. Check out the upcoming opportunities below. Sign-ups links will be provided as we get closer to the start of the season.
2026 Home Game Volunteer Opportunities
Every home game requires volunteers to make it a success. Whether it be on the field holding the first down marker or in the booth operating the scoreboard. Here is the list of opportunities for all home games.
- Varsity and JVC Scoreboard Operator (1) - Enters game score, down and distance, yard line, time outs and ball possession in the scoreboard. Watches referee for any scoreboard adjustments.
- JVC Clock Operator (1) - Operates (starts/stops) the official game clock. All signals to start and stop the clock come from the referee.
- Varsity and JVC Chain Gang (3) - On the field, visitors sideline. Move chains and first-down marker following referee’s direction (must be over 18).
- JVC Game Announcer (1) - Introduce Redmond Offense or Defense, announce play results, down & distance, score, referee calls and provide music.
- Varsity and JVC Spotter (1) - Help Game Announcer in the booth by watching the plays and calling out what is happening (which players made the play, (player numbers, down and distance, referee calls, etc.).
- JVC Statistics Tracker (1) - Documents statistics for all plays (offensive, defense and special teams).
- Photographer (2) – Capture game day moments of the team and the crowd.
Additional Volunteering opportunities:
- Thursday night team dinners - calling all parent volunteers to help us feed our team before the big game!
- Team Fuel - Away game food for bus ride home (typically Costco hot dogs, chips and waters)
- Senior night team lead & coordinators - this team leads planning efforts around the recognition ceremony on senior night.
